Aged care
When the opportunity to enter the aged care sector presented itself, Pellicano Group saw a golden opportunity to diversify into a market which will only grow as the years go by.
Pellicano joined forces with the Dansu Group to form a new company, aptly named Gold Age. The company is both an asset-holding company and a management company, specialising in the development and management of aged care facilities. It is also an approved provider of allocated residential aged care beds under the Federal Government’s subsidy program.
Dansu has been a joint venture partner and close associate of the Pellicano Group for more than 20 years, primarily in industrial business parks. In addition, Dansu Director Sue Alberti is Foundation Chair of St Vincent’s Institute and her brother, Richard Jenkings, is a Director of the Victorian Aged Care Association.
The wealth of experience in aged care that Richard Jenkings in particular brings to the joint venture ensures that the group is always at the forefront in this industry.
Gold Age currently owns and manages the following:
- Greenway Gardens Aged Care, Heathmont – 54 beds
- Camberwell Gardens Aged Care, Camberwell – 75 beds.
- McGregor Gardens Aged Care, Pakenham – 90 beds.
Pellicano also independently owns and manages:
- Berwick Brae Retirement Village, Berwick
10 brand new 1 & 2 bedroom independent living apartments available for sale. Construction is scheduled to commence early 2010
- There are 66 existing independent living units and 10 serviced apartments.
